CCG - A2EX-VS VORTEx BARRIER COMPRESSION GLAND
The CCG A2EX‑VS VORTEx Barrier Compression Gland is intended for hazardous area installations where flameproof and increased safety protection is required. It provides a secure and reliable method of terminating cables into electrical equipment while maintaining enclosure integrity and preventing the transmission of gases or flames through the cable entry system.
The gland features a barrier compression design suitable for unfilled unarmoured copper tape braided and lead sheathed cable, including single or multi-core unfilled unarmoured copper tape, braided, or lead sheathed cable constructions. It is designed to terminate the cable sheath and conductors using an appropriate barrier compound, creating a controlled seal around individual cores. The construction provides strong mechanical cable retention through compression, with enclosure fixing achieved via a locknut arrangement. When correctly installed, the gland supports effective sealing, electrical continuity, and reliable performance in demanding hazardous area environments.
