The Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Kit is designed to assist a safety observer in performing the rescue of a person who has received an electrical shock at a live low voltage switchboard. Developed for use in accordance with Australian electrical safety requirements, the kit enables the safety observer to carry out a rescue while reducing the risk of electrical shock. It is intended to be readily accessible at worksites where low voltage electrical work is undertaken and is suitable for mounting adjacent to switchboards for rapid emergency response.
Supplied in a heavy-duty waterproof high-visibility PPE bag with reflective lettering, the kit contains essential rescue equipment including Class 0 insulated rubber gloves, a non-conductive insulated rescue hook, non-conductive LED torch, fire blanket, multi-trauma burns dressing, "Isolate Here in Emergency" sign and a St John First Aid Quick Reference Booklet. The rescue bag can also be utilised as a water bucket when required. The insulated gloves are supplied in Size 11 and are marked "RESCUE USE ONLY" to indicate they are intended solely for emergency rescue situations.
