Denso Tape is an all-purpose corrosion protection tape for pipes, flanges, valves and related surfaces. It is manufactured from a non-woven synthetic fabric carrier fully impregnated with a neutral compound based on saturated petrolatum and inert siliceous fillers. The flexible tape conforms to irregular shapes and profiles while providing long-term protection across extreme temperature variations. It offers excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and salts and is unaffected by water and soil organics.
Designed for straightforward application, Denso Tape can be installed on marginally prepared, cold or wet surfaces and placed into service immediately after wrapping. The tape is applied over Denso MP Primer with a 55% spiral overlap. Denso Mastic or Denso Profiling Mastic can be used around irregular components such as valves and flanges. Where additional mechanical protection is required, the completed system can be covered with Denso PVC Tape below ground or Denso Sirex Tape above ground.
